Description

Discover a unique experience in Villacarrillo. Discover in this village in the countryside the secrets of the production of its liquid gold: Extra Virgin Olive Oil! Get to know the world of olive oil, how its oil mill works, its history, all the oil mills that have existed, the types of oil that are produced, the oil mill itself… We will visit in detail the whole operation of the olive harvesting process: from the moment it enters the cleaners until it reaches the bottle we have at home. Then, after visiting the oil mill, we will enter the Aula-Oleum oil culture interpretation tower, where we will learn about the origin, history, science, health, culture, innovation, its viewpoint, and many more surprises, all related to the world of oil.

Mogón is the gateway to the Sierra de Las Villas, included in the Natural Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, the second largest natural park in Europe and declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1983. Our olive groves are integrated with nature and surrounded by it, being a perfect example of sustainability and respect for the environment and nature.
